The Season of Lent is the 40-day season of reflection, prayer and self-denial, in preparation for the
celebration of Easter. It begins, traditionally, with the imposition of ashes (on forehead or back of hand)
as a symbol of humility and mortality on Ash Wednesday. You are invited to stay for a bowl of soup
and fellowship, perhaps welcoming some folks who receive “Ashes to Go” in the park and an invitation
to join us for soup. A meaningful and fun time for all! We’ll be finished shortly after 1pm.
Please let Pastor Kevin know if you can bring some soup that day.
